Emily Woodmansee
Founding Executive Director

Emil is the Founding Executive Director of Bluestone Village and Bluestone Nature Programs. She opened Bluestone Nature School in the fall of 2023, and it has since grown into a nonprofit community organization aimed at connecting families to each other and the natural world.

Emily has been in the world of nature-based early learning for 12+ years, and has worked with children ages 6 weeks-13 years old. She brings experience with nonprofit nature centers, daycares, traditional schools, and wilderness immersion programs to Bluestone. Over the years she's worked with permanently disabled owls and other wildlife, taught primitive fire making skills in remote wilderness settings, created and lead Family Nature Clubs, and even advocated for every child's outdoor rights to an audience of hundreds on the TEDx stage. But, her passion is teaching young children in the great outdoors. Emily is a Level 3 certified Nature-Based Educator with Association for Nature-Based Education.

Her most important role is Mama to a little one, who also attends Bluestone. When she is not at Bluestone, you can find Emily in her backyard, playing in a local stream, seeking out patches of delicious wild foods, or calling to owls.
Bryanna Waldron
Mentor

Bryanna is all about bringing enthusiasm and creativity to the table, and she shares the Bluestone Village vision regarding nurturing young minds. Her passion for nature-based teaching blossomed here at Bluestone Village and within the nature-based learning community, but deeply stemmed from being a nature-loving child and adult at heart and mind. Bryanna is a level one certified Nature-Based teacher through ANBE. Bryanna's spark comes from witnessing the awe and excitement in children as they encounter new and thrilling experiences .

Beyond being a mom, a wife, a sister, and a friend, Bryanna is all about community involvement and support. She is also an explorer, a gardener, an artist, and a pretty good baker.
